General Information

ProSwab is a ready to use rapid residue detection instrument, for testing any surface after the cleaning process, to ensure the hygiene / HACCP and the production quality for all kind of industries. ProSwab is intended to be used as a support instrument to the cleaning procedure for any production environment, to retain the HACCP or hygiene safety. ProSwab indication technology are also able to detect protein residues of washer-disinfectors or disinfectants accessories intended for cleaning and disinfection of medical devices in the medical, dental and pharmaceutical markets.

Equipment and surfaces are being one of five major categories of risk factors to diseases. From the production industry, protein residues from raw materials or foodstuff may remain on the surface during the production processes. These proteins should be removed during the standard cleaning process, but however the cleaning process are not always as expected and consequently contamination may still remain and will possible lead to the cause of future diseases or contribute to foodborne illness.

The ProSwab react with a color indicator by turning from yellow to green if any protein is present on surface or the testing area. According to the intensity of the color change the result will appear within only 10 seconds, the more proteins that are collected in the testing area, the quicker and darker the color will change (yellow --> light green --> green --> dark green).
The operator must then determine whether the level of contamination from the surface or tested area is still acceptable. According to routinely HACCP observed and recorded color levels, ProSwab guides the operator to decide if corrective action has to be initiated to retain or increase the hygiene safety for the consumers.

ProSwab is the quickest validation instrument on the market to detect protein residues and in possession of the ability to meet the requirement according to EN ISO 15883, with a detection of 20 micro-gram of proteins, well below the EN ISO 15883 requirements “100 micro-gram”.
